Full Moon - Charge of the Goddess

Full Moon Blessings to you all
Charge of the Goddess

Listen to the words of the Great Mother, who was of old also called Artemis, Astarte, Diana, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Dana, Arianrhod, Isis, Bride and by many other names.
Whenever ye have need of anything, once in a month, and better it be when the Moon be full, then ye shall assemble in some secret place and adore the spirit of me, who am Queen of all Witcheries.
There shall ye assemble, ye who are fain to learn all sorcery, yet have not yet won its deepest secrets: to these will I teach things that are yet unknown.
And ye shall be free from slavery; and as a sign that ye are really free, ye shall be naked in your rites; and ye shall dance, sing, feast, make music and love, all in my praise.
For mine is the ecstasy of the spirit and mine also is joy on earth; for my Law is Love unto all Beings.
Keep pure your highest ideal; strive ever toward it; let naught stop you or turn you aside.
For mine is the secret door which opens upon the Land of Youth; and mine is the Cup of the Wine of Life, and the Cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the Holy Grail of Immortality.
I am the Gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the heart. Upon earth, I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal; and beyond death, I give peace, and freedom, and reunion with those who have gone before. Nor do I demand sacrifice, for behold I am the Mother of All Living, and my love is poured out upon the earth.
Hear ye the words of the Star Goddess, she in the dust of whose feet are the hosts of heaven; whose body encircleth the Universe; I, who am the beauty of the green earth, and the white Moon among the stars, and the mystery of the waters, and the heart’s desire, call unto thy soul. Arise and come unto me.
For I am the Soul of Nature, who giveth life to the universe; from me all things proceed, and unto me must all things return; and before my face, beloved of gods and mortals, thine inmost divine self shall be unfolded in the rapture of infinite joy.
Let my worship be within the heart that rejoiceth, for behold: all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals. And therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honour and humility, mirth and reverence within you.
And thou who thinkest to seek for me, know thy seeking and yearning shall avail thee not, unless thou know this mystery: that if that which thou seekest thou findest not within thee, thou wilt never find it without thee.
For behold, I have been with thee from the beginning; and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.
Blessed Be

Yule Incense

Yule Incense

Yule incense is easy to make if you have the correct ingredients in you herb cabinet.
Mix: 2 teaspoons frankincense resin
1 teaspoon of myrrh resin
1 teaspoon of pine needles
1/2 teaspoon of juniper berries
2 drops of frankincense essential oil
This can be left as it is or ground in a mortar and pestle for a finer incense.

Burn this on a charcoal block in a heatproof container.

Alternatively you can burn incense sticks/cones in frankincense & myrrh or pine fragrance.

Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice Blessings

Winter Solstice is a Pagan celebration to welcome back the returning sun. Today (December 21st) is the shortest day of the year and the longest night. Yule is one of the Lesser Sabbats. The Goddess gives birth to the God as the reborn sun and in many traditions it is celebrated just before dawn to welcome his arrival. Candles and bonfires are frequently lit to welcome his arrival. The returning light completes the cycle of life, death and rebirth. In many Wiccan traditions, Yule symbolizes the end of the reign of the waning year's Holly-King, who is now replaced by the Oak-King of the waning year (who rules until Summer Solstice).
This Sabbat represents the rebirth of light. Here, on the longest night of the year, the Goddess gives birth to the Sun God and hope for new light is reborn. Yule is a time of awakening to new goals and leaving old regrets behind.
Enjoy the festival by hanging out lights, decorate a Yule tree, make evergreen decorations to put up, burn a Yule log, give gifts and have a party.

Through out today we'll be adding more information and ides for you Yule/Winter Solstice celebrations.
If you don't have time for much just light a candle and welcome the returning Sun God to bring love, light and warmth to the earth, Bright Blessings )0(

Artwork that I Love

This beautiful Angel called Spirit Guide looks so peaceful standing on a lovely beach. The beach and ocean is symbolic of the path to other shores of the mind and soul.

I love artwork that can relax the mind just by looking at it and looks so real you can almost be there, listening to the waves and sharing the beauty of this stunning angel.

Introduction to my Blog

Well I've finally ventured into having a blog so being new to this, please be patient.
My aim for this is to share positive parts of my day to day life to hopefully inspire you, make you laugh and interest you.
You may of come across my blog from my website, Wings in the Night but if you haven't then check it out. You'll find lots of interesting, unusual and alternative clothing, Jewellery, figurines plus much more. My website isn't just a money making shop, it's my life, my interest and hobby in fact I love running it.
As this blog progresses, you'll find what inspires me with running my website and how my spirituality has influenced a lot of the products I sell. Also I'll share with you the creative side of me, some of these products you'll find on my website including homemade Jewellery, bath salts, candles and pyrograhed items which I can't take all the credit for as my husband and business partner has helped making these.
Away from my computer I live a normal (whatever normal is) life which I'm also hoping to share the more interesting bits. I love reading so will share the books I read with you but my tastes are very varied. My other hobbies include bird/nature watching, fitness, spirituality, gardening and alternative healing. In fact this blog may be rather boring to some of you so I'll try to add some good humor and funny stories into it.
If you have any suggestions or want to add you own comments then please feel free to do so but I will ask that you respect each others views and opinions especially when it comes to religious beliefs or controversial subjects as we are all individuals with our own opinions which must be respected.
So on that note I hope you've all enjoyed the Diamond Jubilee today, got to be honest here, I sat to watch it earlier and within 10 minutes I was fast asleep. I woke a couple of hours later only to find it was still on and I hadn't actually really missed anything lol.
Anyway I hope you all have a wonderful bank holiday weekend and feel free to share you Jubilee stories/pictures xx
